"There is some soul of goodness in things evil"
(Shakespeare)

Fairy lights twinkle and shine
Fairy lights used to draw the line
Wrapped in gold the bulbs they sit
You never meant to make them upset
But pretty lights in gold a glow
Why must you be
Colder than snow?
In the end our time is dead
Really it left my spinning head
Wrapping around a loss so great,
Now we seal this unfortunate fate
Of fairy lights and unfair trife
But you truly consider reloading a rifle
Please I beg our stories at its end,
But please, and consider, how our fate is spinned
With a blade in hand
A beautiful red band
A slice one too many
Your thorns are so plenty
But now I lay our time
For I have spent on you my very last dime
But money is not the reason I fret
Quite the opposite, it's emotions I don't let
You have spent the absolute last of me
The best in me I have saved for my family
The way I had dreamed and ignored the signs
Now I'm paying for that, by three times
Now I lay us down to rest
A aching gaping hole in my chest
You didn't move on and now here I stand
Wrapped in fairy lights that now seem bland
I forgot how the dashing lights burn
And the way they seem to move at every turn
The fairy lights aren't so innocent
They leave my skin with a mark indent
They turn my skin red
And in the beginning I bled
But eventually I forgot
The way fairy lights let everything rot
Under a glow so evil and strange
Now I must try to put out the flames
Of this love we cherished so greatly
Now it's not more than ashes, though that barely
Together we fanned the flames
Then watched as we scorched and it turned into pains
Of a deep kind that left us blind
Oh please let my sight, stay 'till the end
So then I can see the fairy lights
Of which are such a blight
As I sink and turn and frow
In this grave that we both dug low
Six feet under, I destroyed myself
But you see, I passed the test
Of loyalty and all we care
But you my dear, I wish you near
Even as I draw my last breath
You still wish to be my health
But you drained me to my death
Oh how I hope, you take your last breath
Fairy lights, in a bright glow
Wrought pain and sorrow in all we know
Fairy lights so tiny and bright
Set off a big fight
Fairy lights fairy lights how pretty are they
Now we know what secrets we must pay
Fairy lights twinkle and shine
Fairy lights you crossed the line

Wrapped in gold the bulbs they sit
Now you both lay, sad and upset
But evil lights in gold a glow
Now I know your heart is truly colder than snow
In the end our time is dead
You are but a wraith, came cause my dread
Accepting such a loss so great,
Now they bind our new fate

I love the smooth flow and also, the topic of this poem simply caught my eye and when I read it further, it was more beautiful than I expected it to be...✌🏻👏🏻👍🏻
