Narcissus 🌷

Vanity is good
Better than ever
That is why
Narcissus
becomes a flower
He loves himself
He was said
to be really handsome
And his story
is the same,
utterly awesome
He fell for
his own image
that reflected
in a pool of water
And it made him
Narcissus the flower
of December
Beautiful enough
to tempt
Demeter's daughter
on her way to Hades
The young hunter
turned a flower
Blossoming in
the month of December
If he weren't him,
not loving his self
Then, we'll have
no such chance
to see the Narcissus
sway and dance
to the cold breeze
of the twelveth one

Well, i have 2 say the same thing @CaliFranceGurl648 said, maybe we might have passed by as strangers. Because you sorta read our family, as my Mom's name is Narcissa, sorta named after the flower narcissus because its her birthflower too. Her birthday is on, Dec 18, 1978.
Anyway, your perspective is really different in this poem. You showed us a different side of the story of Narcissus. Nice as always!

@Afra, Oh My God, I think we might have passed by as strangers (I dont know how though) because you written about my favourite flower in the whole wide world, Narcissus, and it feels like I know you and youve read my mind. Love the poem so much especially the talk of narcissus.

-Why did you write this poem???
1)Because my birth flower is Narcissus(I'm not completely onto birth flowers and so, in case you thought so...)
2)Because I'm really in on Greek Mythology...
3)Because day by day, I become proud of myself(in a good way though) because many just break my heart but I, I conquer it all...That's something that I take pride for...
4)Because after all these days, I've learnt to love myself and be myself for good... (I mean, I like myself...But, I've been nervous on what others might think of my personality and character and that too, due to how most of my acquaintances just reject me for who I am and they just marginalise me...But, I am ME, and no one can change that, right???)
