What If?
What if?
Commitment propelling me forward
Dazzling and glorious rays
The humid heatwave against my fortitude
Stopping is effortless
Though, I cannot
My heart thumping has reason
To see out my journey
Aching in pain
A jump lies ahead
Nerves fatiguing my pace
My capabilities are in question
Skin piercing thorns
Lounging beneath the rocks
I feared the worst
What if?
Failure, disappointment, defeat?
Adrenaline seized any doubt
A beautiful weightless second
Arms clashing the breeze
Leaping over the gap of agony
Distress and fear
No longer in control
I smile with pride
I am free
