I can capture moments,

I can write my life.

But they will never know

Who I was really like.

For it is the fate of all,

Or so they say.

One who was born,

Shall one day die.

All our memories, thoughts and pains

Shall one day be lost

Forever,

Forever in the halls of time.

There is no other way,

Or so they say.

I really enjoyed reading your poem! I like how you ended it with "or so they say" because it makes it feel like we can do something to change having our memories get lost "forever in the halls of time."
