I am: Sitting in the School Bathroom
I am tired
My ribcage aches like i’m a skeleton
Whispers blow my bones together like a wind chime
I don't speak
So I slip away and sink into the back of my mind
Coming back as a shadow
I am cold.
The kind of cold that fogs up windows during the winter
When there is no more room for the light to pour in
I sit and stare at the dark glass
watching as my reflection twists and turns into someone else
I am scared
Sitting in the school bathroom,
catching my breath and
watching all my thoughts jump around my head
I am trying to figure out why I exist
