Stars
When the sun sleeps at night the stars come out to shine
Stars are loud and bold like a horn honking in Chicago
The sound bounces of buildings making themselves be heard
Stars taste of powder sugar when making cookies
They are sweet when shared with a loved one
Stars smell of cheap metal after you win an award
They boast with confidence on a stage
Stars feel as if you were walking on steaming coals
They burn up from under you when they get hot
Stars are little spotlights guiding you through the night
They are tour guides showing up in your life
When the sun comes awake in the day the
Stars are waiting till night to shine again
