For Jesus
Show me the light, lead me the way
For my past days have been long and grey
Hope for tomorrow, cherish today
I clasp my hands together and pray
No more heartaches, goodbye to pain
For all my inner demons were slashed and slain
My thoughts be logical, straight, and well-timed
No more prospects crowding my brain
Only you wait by my side
When my waters were churning, the tide was high
We waited patiently for it to subside
As the currents ran slow, the ripples align
Now I know the world is loving, the world is kind
And therefore slowly, I came to realise
As I raised up my head and let out a sigh
The world is no longer me, myself, and I.
