Rain
Rain pours down on inadequacy
Hungry, starving.
Children have lost the war,
but could they be found?
Within every fiber, rain sprawls back.
Wishing for the happiness of the young ones.
Rain can speak, said the wise one. Just listen.
Listen as the pattering continues.
Be happy with what you've got, rain said,
Or you might become the next lost soul
wallowing in the wind. Never to be seen again.

I've wanted to do a piece that showcases the starving children out there, who don't have a home nor family. But only the sounds of rain to keep them company. Just remember: Be happy with what you have, it won't last forever.
