home
last night I dreamt of Adam sitting outside on die Terrasse in the city of love
with a dandelion colored egg sandwich and lemonade by his side
the grand canal with sea slugs emerging from the water on his right
with a prosperous, new architect working on their greatest work on the left
anyone would be jealous of this lavish lifestyle that he has made for himself
while he is living out his dreams in the city painted by picasso, i am rather in my home
outside das Wetter is sunny,
it looks as though a phoenix is being born from the flames of the sun
families are outside, basking in the feathers of the phoenix
women are wearing wedge sandals
men are grilling, while listening to it ain't over till it's over, or the newest ariana grande album
children are yelling all one can hear is “what??” and saying “shut up” to their moms
grandparents, the age of abraham lincoln, ask children “would you like a cookie?”
i compare my life to his, i realize that my life is not nearly as bad as it seems
