tiny slice of life
only here, is she alive
as she stands out in the grass
dew
like drops of moonbeam
kisses her feet
living and breathing
sun’s
final rays
touch head
light of a thousand diamonds
she
reaches up
and light
balances on the tips of fingernails
as she holds her hand stock-still
it waits
it is patient
it slides down her forearm
grazing shirt sleeve
as she stands, smiling
a dozen times yes
it leaps and dances through the trees
so it can cover her
and she is bathed in sun
