The Earth's Song
The wind is like the song of the earth,
pushing a cool tone to whoever is there to listen.
Trees always listen
To hear the notes of the world.
Their leaves rustle with the wind,
Loving the wobbles of the earth,
Sinking their roots into the cool ground
Silently grounding the tree
So the wind can’t take over.
In the sun’s glare, the leaves blow
Listening to the songs of the children below
But when, a child falls,
The tree is there to hear their song too
The tree never ignores anyone’s song.
