Breathing Again
The time we spend apart
Is becoming increasingly bigger,
But the distance stays the same.
There’s a blur where your eyes and lips
Should be in my memory of you.
But the last words you spoke to me
As apparent as ever.
There's no hurt when I think of them now.
I thought I'd be broken and torn if I'd ever lost you.
All I feel is a sense of relief and pounds lighter.
We’ve danced around the truth far too long,
But what I'm saying now, couldn’t be more true.
Long story short, I thought I loved you.
