Tasting The Forest
Tasting the forest is like hearing the sounds of leaves swaying in the wind
Or like smelling the air on a crisp autumn morning.
Tasting the forest is like eating a bowl of spinach
All earthy and nutritionally dense as it dances across the taste buds.
Tasting the forest is like moving like the leaves on a windy day
Swaying to an unorganized groove that is only determined by nature
The specific taste of the forest has brought curiosity and action.
Standing amongst the towering trees brings humility,
Recognition that you are not the tallest or largest thing around you.
Tasting the forest is like recognizing that the world is a very big place
With limits to what you can and cannot be.
So while you may not be able to grow as tall as a tree
You can certainly grow as a character and person
