Big Hug
Comfort floods my feelings
Warmth covers my body
And for a second
The world is small and gentle and perfect.
My head nestled in your chest
Your heartbeat filling my ears
As a slice of comfort
For just a moment
Blankets my whole life
A simple moment of tiredness
Your head lays on my chest
You trust me
We trust each other
In the simplicity
We are at our most vulnerable
It’s a beautiful moment
Between us two
You hear my heart
And without words
You promise not to break it
If I nestle my head in your chest
Or you in mine
Suddenly the world is small
And perfect
And safe
We’re safe and sound
And in that feeling
We realize
Love makes life feel a lot less scary
