A Person In The Window
There is a person in the window.
Not a man nor a woman, just a person.
This person screams with fear as birds swarm them.
These birds drop long veins of thorns that engulf the body.
This person screams in pain of the prickly thorns in them.
The feeling of sadness as a sorrow blue absorbs the picture.
Why would a person be so glum yet so afraid of this?
As I stand inside my house I see the world around me.
I see them, this person standing outside calling for me.
I feel as if I should help but my window has opened.
The birds swarm inside and attack.
Crows are not like other birds, they fest off of the dead.
As they surrounded my every thought I glanced at it.
This window, this person’s fear, sadness, and pain.
It's a mirror.
And this person was me.
I stand and watch my own fears be eaten by crows.
They feast on my emotions like a deer that got hit.
My heart was struck by the pitch black caw’s of the crow.
