Pink Flamingoes

whirling snow, back roads, body drowned in smoke
it felt like pink, plastic flamingoes and christmas lights
to be thinking about you while i let the fresh laundry soak
i’m thinking, like, 1989, when love felt real,
when i could say i want you and you’d say you feel it
i think about it every day and ask, “do you miss me?”
