Blurred Lines
Part 1: Hurt
Something wasn’t clear
So you cut me deep,
But there were blurred lines for us,
Right?
I didn’t understand what you meant
So I knowingly hurt you;
Sliced you up,
Lines were blurred as you passed me off
Repair is impossible with unaddressed damage.
You say to me, “move on”
Like a song on repeat.
When you continuously do me wrong,
I admit my faults,
Let you shine,
You don't apologize, all the chances you get,
Time ticks
You’re so forgetful
Move on,
You're not listening to me.
I leave, to be free.
Part 2: Free
I don’t feel fine at all,
I want to reach out,
I must stay resilient,
I must continue alone,
Being alone isn’t that bad-
Joy, Quiet, Peace,
Peace will heal me.
My head held high, I will survive.
Part 3: Square One
I met you back at the café
Memories surround me;
I see you enter-
We’re back where we stayed
Through conversation, we make up,
New lines are set in place;
This feels better,
I’m back with the person I adore.
Eventually, everything came into place,
The special person arrives eventually.
I go through rough times,
Guess who was by my side?
You.
