The Night

When the day is done
The night has just begun
The sun must fall
And with it do we all
At the end of the day
The sun rewards us with its rays
Painting bright pictures in the sky
Quite pleasing to the eye
The night is a time for some people to rejoice
And for others to have a chat with their inner voice
Some people pray that the night stays young
And others can’t wait for the light to come
Regardless of how we spend our time
Our alarms will inevitably make that morning chime
What the day holds I cannot tell
But to the night we must say farewell
