It's Finally Over
There are some things that I never want to do
whether it’s from fear, disgust, or boredom
and this also includes writing this poem.
I feel so bored when I do this,
So I ended up watching that clock,
waiting for it to be over.
Constantly struggling with what to write next,
there’s nothing I can do but think.
Although this is better than skydiving
or eating seafood with soda to sip,
there’s nothing I can do but sit here,
waiting for it to be over.
Hearing the school bell makes my heart leap,
Now I’m finally free!
But it doesn’t last long,
as I work to the beat of a song,
dousing and drenching my duds
waiting for it to be over.
Even when I find time
to do anything that I please,
nothing feels appealing to me.
I go to rest in my bed,
thinking until the sunrise,
the cycle of life overpowering me
after very many a year.
The fear of loneliness growing
and gnawing on all of my thoughts,
while all I’m doing is waiting,
until it is finally over…
