Troubled High school relationships
In the halls of youth where whispers fly,
Two heart ventured, not quite shy.
bound by hope so frail and thin,
in a game where few could ever win.
Words like honey, sweet and smooth,
masked the lies they couldn't soothe.
promises made under neon lights,
faded quickly into endless fights.
Texts send at midnight, full of fire,
turned morning regrets, situations dire.
Each sorry a bandage over a wound,
in a war where love was consumed.
Lockers slammed like closing gates,
each glance shared, heave with weights.
What started bright in septembers glow,
turned cold by winter, lost in snow.
In the end, just echoes in the hall,
A lesson learned for one and all.
Love in youth, often unrefined,
Leaves the deepest marks behind and
the love y'all had faded away.
