Expressing love
How do I express my love to you?
Do I talk?
Do I text?
Do I call?
Do I mail a letter?
All of these seem to be the same to me.
They are all ways of communicating,
But none of them show how I feel about you.
A sculpter carving,
A guitarist strumming,
A woodcarver whittling,
A metalworker welding,
A grilled cheese.
To me work and art are better ways of expressing love
“I love you” and “you are amazing” are words
they only exist as long as I talk
But work and art, those last
Those are things you can give and gift.
Like the grilled cheese i made for you,
That is true love.
