lay down, close your eyes, and wander off to sleep.

But then you open them again

Standing in front of you is a museum

What is a museum doing here?

As you slowly walk towards the door

You open it and walk inside

This museum is not a regular museum

It doesn't hold any historical artifacts

No paintings

No fossils

No dinosaur skeletons

No historical objects

No sculptures

But it holds memories.

Instead of paintings

There are old drawings you did as a kid

Instead of historical sculptures

There are sculptures of favorable memories

Instead of Historical objects

There are old toys you'd play with as a child

Everything of your childhood is there

Toys, games, and memories.

The gallery is filled with drawings from the past

You with your family

You with friends

Animals

Playgrounds

Dinosaurs

With the sun in the corner, green grass at the bottom, colorful flowers, and clouds in the sky.

Shelved are filled with items you picked up from the floor that you had found interesting

Laughter echoes from the hallways and rooms are filled with memories from when you went on trips or from schools, playgrounds, friends, family, or just home.

Everything that you didn't realize was a memory, contained in a museum, memories that made you who you are today.

this poem talks about walking down memory lane and how it creates us into the person we are today.
