Tomorrow
Tomorrow
Everyone makes tomorrow seem like a place
Where everything is better and everyone is altogether,
Where opportunity is beyond measure and there’s no more displeasure.
However.
Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.
You say you’ll do it tomorrow;
But tomorrow isn’t a date?
Tomorrow isn’t a time.
Tomorrow isn't a place we can reach,
Therefore it isn’t a place we can start.
Tomorrow is an abstract of the imagination—
That we try to make concrete to have a sense of control—
But that control will always be one step away,
Just like tomorrow.
Tomorrow will never come;
It’ll always be one day away,
So you need to start now.
You’re the only one who can allow
The journey to begin.
Nobody can do it for you;
The calendar can’t do it for you,
December 13th can’t do it for you,
So don’t wait anymore
Don’t wait to start to live
No path is short enough to lay off till “tomorrow”
Because before you know it
There will be no tomorrow
There will only be the sorrow
Of knowing you could’ve done it
