Learning from Mistakes

I learn from my mistakes,

All the wrong turns I take,

All the fake friends I make,

And the times I almost break.


My mistakes help me grow,

But at the time, I didn't know.

I didn't want my mistakes to show.

I couldn't let my wrongs be known.


My fake friends were there,

But they never actually cared

My life they would share,

As they continue to hurt the unaware.


I never forgot I'm strong.

I knew where I went wrong,

Should’ve listened to the songs

Weren’t my friends all along

 

So to all the liars and traders,

All the wannabes and haters

And learning from my mistakes

And learning to spot the fakes.


Surround yourself with who you want to be.
