Death is hard.
It comes when you least expect it
Blindly and viciously
Yet Softly and Slowly
And even though it is a part of the adventure that we call life
It doesn't stop the hurt that comes rushing in
when you hear the news
You bawl your eyes out
Or just stand there, Motionless
days after, it seeps into your soul
months after it finds a place in your mind
years after it finds a place in your heart
and there it stays, forever engraved
Into a space inside us, we can only call a void
Death is hard
It comes when you least expect it
Kindly and tenderly
Yet sour and bitter
In death, there is beauty too
The discharge of a soul
It's just another adventure
One full of love and laughter,
It's part of life's design
To show us
Although death is not always kind
It holds the promise
That at least one thing in our life
Will always be certain
Death is easy
Living might be the only hard part
