Mind, Mind
In the middle of every mind,
Obscured from the side by fear
Or insecurity, is a clearing where
She works on burying those thoughts
In the back of my mind. She only
Buries their negative desire, and their bad influence.
She packs the brain tight around
Their dark aura & they shake
Like a beast ready to kill.
She makes me feed them positive thoughts
Twice a day for one full year: self-worth,
Bits of fulfillment. Then she takes me to the brain.
She shows me the world and what it’s worth
Inside her golden statue of memories.
She hands me a memento.
