Broken pieces
Look into the distance, but I see nothing there
Whether it's the emptiness to my left or me in here
Is it me who surrenders Or the shadow of you so clear
You in front of me And yet not here
And I in front of the reflection so near
Why is my head looking for a goal
When the hole in me still wants your love
Are you clinging to the stars and thinking you're here with me?
Or can you walk and live again
On the broken pieces of you and me?
I write tears in the paper That I crumple up right after
Because I'm scared I could lose myself in the disater.
