Jews of the Holocaust by:Sarah Oelbaum
“We aren’t allowed to have any opinions”
Jewish people don't get to decide
that’s just not right
Imagine being a child in the Holocaust
Dressed in stripes they couldn’t hide from predators
“People can tell you to keep your mouth shut”
I’m not going to keep my mouth shut
Because it’s my body
I control my voice
My mouth is a river that can’t be stopped
“but it doesn't stop you having your own opinion”
If I can have my own opinion
I can have my own rights
It stops me from getting a say “Even if people are still very young”
They shouldn’t live life like this
Getting killed
Having their lives taken away
Thirst is a river that can’t be quenched
Hunger like a thousand needles
“they shouldn't be prevented from saying what they think”
All people should have the same rights
Just because we have different skin, different names, different bodies
Does not mean we should be treated differently
We should all be treated the same

This is about being in the holocaust and being a Jew in it. I am Jewish and it really relates to me because I always loved to learn the different facts about the holocaust. I used the line from anne frank.
