Sunrise
It happened like a sunrise,
with the whispers of the night fading into the hazy purple sky
I remember when we sat on the shore,
inevitable and flushed pink, swept up into day dreams-
watching the waves rise and fall, crashing on the shore
You had a smile in your eyes and a softness on your brow
it was bright and breathtaking like the sunlight dancing on the water
I shut my eyes and let the morning break over me
I never crave change but i think i knew wanted you-
melting into one other as the sun painted the sky
Listening to you laugh and forgetting what to say
Sitting on the shore, getting swept up in the sweetness
Falling together with time
