How Bittersweet are the Senses
How bittersweet are the senses
That show me the best and the worst
Of what this world has to offer
Smell
I can smell the perfume wafting of my girl
Or a rose I was to give her
But I can smell someone's house burning down
How bittersweet
Taste
I can taste the food at thanksgiving
But I can taste defeat
I can taste sorrow
How Bittersweet
Feel
I can hold her in my arms
Brush her hair and hold her hand
But I can feel her going away
I can feel my heart break, and fall to peices
How Bittersweet
Hear
I can hear a melody, a chorus of notes
I can hear the voices of my friends
But I can hear screams of fear and pain
How Bittersweet
Sight
I can see the light
And I can see beautiful paintings or photos
But..But I can see things unimaginable
Wait!
I can focus my senses!
I can be an optimist!
look at the things beautiful and magnificent!
..How Amazing
