This Forest, This Thief
This forest, this vast space of mystery, has taken my joy away.
It's deep, hollow groans call to me,
Reminding me of what has been stolen
It's winds bring to me the cries from which my bliss has vanished,
Playing sweet tricks on my fleeting mind
It's long, crooked claws reach out and take from me what is mine;
Will their stolen lives dirty the taste of what this hideous monster feasts upon?
May their cries of pain and anguish forever remain in this desolate spirit we call the forest.
