Play Time
Baby toys all over the floor,
Chaos is everywhere.
The baby sleeps on a blanket,
Satisfied says his stare,
i look around and smile because
i know what must come next.
i see it playing in my mind,
All the cleaning that must take place.
Theres crayola coloring on the wall,
And rattles on the floor.
Theres Baby's First Books in the corner,
And teething rings galore.
There are balls of all types of colors,
And games that have been torn.
There are stuffed animals on the couches,
And other toys that need to be stored.
And here i sit thinking, of what is to come,
And as soon as i had finished my heart became so numb.
Because the baby had awakened again,
And not to my surprise,
He sat right back down on the floor,
And the mess once more began to rise
