Human
When you look at me
And your eyes reflect my pain
And I feel guilty for allowing you
To suffer
Thoughtless of me
Careless
Irresponsible
And yet
I can forgive it
Can let you feel it
Because maybe
I want you to catch a glimpse
Of what my life is like
Day after day
Sadness after sadness
With the tears that run
In my veins
Punishing me for existing
So what is wrong
With letting you feel that
For just a moment
When I will have to live with it
For a lifetime?
But I know
How it will torture you
What does that make me?
Maybe it makes me a monster
Or maybe it makes me human
