The Storm
The stillness of the evening
Is undisturbed by wind
It's melancholy presence glooms the land
Foreshadoeing the oncoming Storm
Leaves dance away with the wind
Making trees bare and cold
The soft whispers foreshadow
The oncoming Storm
Skies darken to a sullen Gray
Then to eternal black
Small animals hide
While plants shrivel in fright
They know they won't survive
Mother Nature has finally started her revenge
Her harmless winds turn to gusts
Then big cold drops fall to the arid ground
Lightning cracks the sky
The oncoming Storm
Takes us by our hands
And lets us see from it's point of view
But shows awfull mercy
Wreaking Death upon the land
Instead of destroying us
