MUSIC
The bass gives me a second heart beat
Sustaining life has just became
That much easier
The electric guitar plays my heart strings
And suddenly I'm trippin' on ecstasy
Every sensation sharper
Every experience heightend
The drums pound them out
The negative voices of those all around
Screaming at me
Commanding I give up; give out; give in; quit.
Tonight, I am deaf to them
As well as the rest of the world
Of pain and hurt and suffering
That I've lived in for far too long
The lead singer says it all
Proclaims my struggle to the audience
Expressing myself is so much easier
When I don't have to use my own voice to do it
Music...music...music...
Gotta love it...
