I am One
I am One
It cascades from above,
Slowly, hesitantly;
My mind ripples with weary thoughts of love and loss,
Watching these tears of many others streak courageously to the
Darkened ground
Or is it only hopelessness?
Fear?
Unworthy to feel the soothing comfort
Of the cool sensation,
Soft,
Smooth with other’s
Emotions,
Lost and forgotten,
Abandoned forevermore
In the endless gray clouds that
Huddle closely together above our
Meticulous,
Seemingly perfect worlds?
Or is it merely torment,
What is happening?
Nothing can convince me,
No one can sustain
My immense hunger and thirst
For a righteousness
In this angered universe
Of ones pretending,
Playing,
Seeing only through a fogged glass,
Glistening with people’s tears,
Although they fail to see through
Contempt with nothing more than eyeing what
They wish to see,
Instead of what is truly standing
Before them
It slithers down my plale face,
Slow and painful, yet comforting,
And the darkness surrounds me,
Like an animal in a cage,
Trapped and alone
I am One.
