I want to be the hand that wipes away your tears
and the nightlight protecting you from your fears
I want to be the comfort of your pillow
and the first person when you wake to say "hello"
I'll be your savior in a fight
and the man to tuck you in at night
I'll be the one to hold your hand
and the one to pull you up when you cannot stand
I want to be the one
and be with you 'till out lives are done
I want to hold you all day
and it is then i can truly say...
