the moon
Glimmering silently, over a field of whispers
The decorative circle that shines over this earth
The children look up at the face
That smiles over all mankind
In this field I lay as the grasshoppers sing their songs
I am in a trance on this enchanting summer night
The grass turns when the wind blows,
Bringing a calm breeze down your back
The cold leads you to have no worries
And this moon shining over you,
In a place that seems forgotten
Just as a god set it up to be
This beautiful canvas lay upon us,
Is what the moon is to me.
