My Life
Angels sit on high.
They watch us mortals.
We live for ourselves,
And sometimes help others.
The devil watches everyone
He watches the mortals sinning,
And the angels crying.
He laughs as we lose our way
Sometimes I wonder
Where is the path?
How can we lose
What we never found?
So I forge my own way
Be damned with the consequences
Be damned,
The disapproval,
The misunderstanding.
I will light my own stars
I will fight my own way
I refuse to let others define me
I dare anyone to say otherwise
I challenge others to find their own way
I smile as I walk through my life
Because I know
even though history may not remember me
My friends will
