Time...
I never thought about it much
The clock ticks by and all I do is watch
The clock will never stop for me
I guess I really never got to see
But as I was sitting doing nothing at home
I had a thought that made me write this poem
Every second I sit by again
A war rages on not even close to the end
Every minute I wait by
A person’s absence causes someone to cry
I begin to feel the tears rise in me
I can never believe that this I never see
And in only one small hour
There are thoughts that make me cower
I only live here because others fight
And the truth is that will never be right
I will never run from the truth again
It is only worst to know then
