Bracelet
Thursday:
October first,
two thousand and nine,
this bracelet was given to me,
and it will remain until the day I die.
It is more than words,
more than actions,
more than the world,
meanings of different fractions.
Nothing the memory needs to hold,
tiny symbol that makes grown men feel bold.
A small plant: stiff and intertwined,
its hidden meaning: a friendship confined.
Sense of pride and joy,
confidence built ever so high,
feelings that will never be destroyed,
two friends who see eye to eye.
