California Sunrise
if you have something to say
just whisper it softly
kiss me on the lips
and never let me slip away
wrapped in blankets on the roof
i’ll see your face lit by starlight
hold me throught the night
and watch that California sunrise
got no car, i never cared
because i got no place to go
live in a town with simple streets
but it ain’t got no room to grow
yet somehow it feels alright
as sun and starlight come to blows
and if you somehow get me then
lets just sit right here, so
hold me through the night
and watch that California sunrise
and as long as it’s okay with you
i think i’ll stay right here
and i’ve got no plan but you so
what to do?
the future’s unclear
yet happy as i am i see the glimmer
in your eyes
just hold me through the night
and watch that California sunrise
