I'm not to blame
These days I spend alone
Just trying to get by on my own
Wish I could find the way
Never knew what to say
(I’m sorry)
Maybe you were right
But now it’s every night
You sit there and remind me
That you and I will never be
(I’m to blame)
I never said good bye
But still you left, baby why
Baby I know I was wrong
But it’s been way to long
(Oh please come home)
I never promised to be perfect
You weren’t either last I checked
You know I’ve held on to you
After everything I’ve put you through
(Still not right)
Don’t you see the light shining?
I can’t think of a better way to word this
You know that you’re my star
And once I was you’re world, or so you claimed
(Let me summarize)
You said them three words before I even saw you
You told the world I was your girl and you was my man
I didn’t listen to the stories about them girls you been seeing
I just let it go; you said I was to blame
Because I was listening to what others said
Then you left and sh**t got hard
Your friends and mine they took apart
We were separated by distances
And then you said good-bye
(I should’ve guessed)
Now I’m out of shock
(Been six months)
And I barely got off my feet
(I hate you)
I miss you
(I still need you)
I loved you
But now it’s to late I’m gone.
