Fear the change
Why is it that we have the power to change other people’s lives?
Yet we don’t have the power to change our own?
Is it that we don’t fear, fear it’s self
But we fear our selves.
Is it that it is easier to please the world,
Rather than ourselves?
Or is it a mixture of both?
We have spent so much time fixing others
That who we are hurts.
We can fix, fix away
But when it comes to ourselves,
It’s a war, a battle field.
We give others so much help and advice
But still, we can’t even take our own.
Why is it that without even knowing,
We can change some ones life?
Without a word spoken,
You can affect a life, a life.
But it feels as though that can never happen to ourselves.
It’s like we can give and give
But we don’t have the courage to take.
We have the power to start a chain reaction,
A ripple affect,
We have the power to do anything.
But when we all begin to fear,
We begin to realize
We don’t fear, fear it’s self
We fear ourselves.
It’s not that it’s easier to please the world,
It’s that we are so scared to change ourselves.
Yet change is the only absolute.
