These Words Are True
A tear rolls down my cheek
As I think about
How no matter how many
Good times there are with you,
I'll just get hurt in the end
I cry when I write this
Because I know it's true
And a sad song is playing
Reminding me of what happens
When love dies out
I can't help but weep in my hands
As I say the words out loud
The words that tell the truth
There's a tear on this page
Because even if love is wonderful
While it lasts,
Everything has an end
And no one lives forever
And now tears are racing down
As I delete all your texts
So I can't focus on the good things
And then I won't be destroyed
When they only turn out worse
