Writer
I envy those who can sing
Their voice so entrancing and beautiful
I envy those to can play music
They express beauty without words
I envy they who can draw and paint
For they can capture and tame the world into pictures
I am but a simple writer
My tools are words, wit, and imagination
But written words cannot inspire
Perhaps if they were sung or spoken
And wit only works in conversation
Not dead in ink and paper
Imagination cannot help me
For I am stuck in reality
But as I've grown I have learned
That though words are dead and lifeless
My wit breathes life into it
And my imagination gives it shape
MY words are true things
For I am a writer
And I make it real
