Shinanigans
My World
His smile glowed that periwinkle peace
Nobody know what he does to me
The look in his eyes melts me inside
He means the world to me
Touches like the breeze on a warm summer night
No way of knowing who will or who might
Everything tells me what I’m feeling is right
He means the world to me
Soft pink lips press against my cheek
I feel my body fall senseless and weak
When we’re this close there’s no need to speak
He means the world to me
The warm breath of his words run down my back
Never so strongly did opposites attract
Before he came along my days were black
He means the world to me
He doesn’t even try to make me smile
But I find myself laughing all the while
He’s the only thing making this life worthwhile
He means the world to me
Together and Broken
We are together, but I
Am broken.
Before, everything was different.
Your eyes used to glow
Their bright green,
But now they blur
The feelings they used to emit.
Emotions stuck behind them,
Banging, begging to escape.
Yet you wont say
And it kills me
I want so bad to hear you say it
But the words can’t seem
To find their way.
Through your lips.
To my ears.
Before, everything was different
I am broken.
But we
Are together.
Derision
She cries
And tries
To hide the feelings inside
Her tears
Exhibit fears
As she gives up the fight
Things they say
Push her away
Making her hate herself
Comments they make
Friendship they fake
She wants to be someone else
Just pain
No gain
Only knowing to be alone
Their gladness
From her sadness
Its something they’ll never know
