Paranoia
As you sit and pounder deeply
All alone so weak and weary
You can hear the constant ticking, ticking of the clock
While you sleep the shadows watch you
In your dreams they also haunt you
Can’t you hear the constant beating, beating of a heart
Hush and listen to me darling
You can’t wait until the morning
Listen to the constant ticking, ticking of that heart
Look and listen very closely
You seem a little pale and ghostly
Could it be the constant beating, beating of her heart
Hmm it seems that you are guilty
Could it be that she’s still with thee
Listen as the constant ticking, ticking of her heart
Seem to get a tad bit louder
All alone you’ll be without her
Could it be that what you hear
Is nothing more than what you fear
That very simple tragedy of when you took her heart
