Life's a Blessing
If it was my last day.
I would try to leave this earth in a good way.
I would try to give all that I have taken.
I would fix everything I have breaking.
Through the day I’ll try to do everything well.
I know I would have to be flawless to escape the pits of hell.
For me to reach the pearly gates.
I have to make a positive mark on in this place.
I will say sorry to those who disregarded.
All of the hate in me would be discarded.
Hopefully they will accept it to avoid suffer.
No shame of mine shall be undercover.
I would kiss all those whom I love and care.
Letting them know my heart would always be there.
I will walk through a garden and admire every flower’s beauty.
Then lie down and let the sounds of life soothe me.
I’ll lay there till my time comes.
All I could do is think about the things I could have done.
I’ll watch as it set over the lake.
Take my last breaths as I reach my fate.
I look a death with no fear.
All I can do is thank God that I was here.
