"Your perspective may very well be the determining factor in whether you pass the test."

I look back into my past
And I see tears and bad ideas
Those angers I held inside of me
Was like a seed

You plant it and at first
It’s so
Small

Yet somehow it grew
Into a tree bearing poison fruit
Like that poison apple
In Snow White

Those fruits were my ideas

At first they seemed like such good ideas
Until
They nearly killed me

But then, one day
Someone came
They offered to help me chop down my tree

It wasn’t easy because
I had become so attached to that tree
I loved that tree
Guarded it for a while even

But one day I realized
How poisonous those fruits were
How ugly and distorted
That tree was

And I chopped it down

This is my favorite of all your poems..I like the metaphor, and how abruptly it ends!

I like your tree metaphor. This is the kind of poem you don't see often anymore; you know, it makes you think.  i like it. you should post more work; it will help you get noticed more. i commented on your forum, too, but in case you don't see it, can you please comment and rate my memoir "Gotta Love Support"? Thanks!

this is awesome! I feel like you should add something about roots in there, I don't really know why, it just kinda popped into my head. I love the story you tell, its so alive!
